Fusion Driver: Easy-to-manufacture Autodesk swag.

The Fusion Driver is the product of a sub-four day group design sprint led by Autodesk. Dubbed "T-Minus," the goal of this challenge was to create a device producible by Autodesk showcasing Fusion 360's abilities while remaining easy to assemble..

Concept Ideation

The Fusion Driver emerged as the champion of a vast selection of concepts discussed within the group. Most notably, ideas such as communication radios, interactive wearables, and electronic tape measures were considered in the ideation process. An electric screwdriver was decided upon as the best vessel to showcase the interconnectedness of form and function, which lies at the heart of Autodesk's (and Fusion 360's) philosophy.

Concept Refinement

Emphasis was placed on organicism, in an effort to highlight the versatility of Fusion 360's form tool and flexible workspace.

“A commitment to advancing a more sustainable, resilient, and equitable world. We believe that with ingenuity and the right tools to work and think flexibly, you have the power to design and make a better world for all.”
